A total of 173 en-suite guestrooms in 17 riverbank residences make up a hotel that exudes Victorian elegance and splendor.
Down to the finest detail of the lamps, the magnificent paintings, and the black and white photographs of early pioneers, this is a place to reflect and rejuvenate.
The luxurious Presidential Suite has housed royalty, heads of state, and celebrities, but each room is sure to inspire a similar feeling of quality in those who stay here.
The rooms are inspired by a combination of Victorian elegance and Africa’s tribal warmth. Each room has its own private terrace overlooking the Zambezi River.

Days 3 & 4
Transfer by road and boat to Kasane immigration for your onward boat transfer to Zambezi Queen (Namibia), for 2 nights. En route, you will clear Namibian immigration formalities.
The Zambezi Queen is based a few kilometers from where four countries meet, namely; Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia. The view is ever-changing: elephants wading in the shallows or crossing in merry groups, fish eagles wheeling overhead, and sunsets that will take your breath away.
10 Suites and 4 Master Suites - All Suites and Master Suites are ensuite with private balconies, king-size beds (can on request be divided into twin beds), and are furnished to the highest level. With thoughtful amenities to cater to your every need.
Two of the four Master Suites have their own private deck with outdoor furniture and the remaining two have superb panoramic views with doors and windows on two sides. All Suites accommodate 2 guests except for two suites (24 and 26) which have an extra sleeper couch.
The top deck consists of the dining room, lounge including a wood-burning fireplace, a bar, and a sunbathing area complete with a private pool. The interior furnishings have been designed by one of South Africa’s top designers and this can be seen in the elegant, timeless look that has been created. Also to be found in the living area is a library of books, numerous games, and a telescope for studying the stars at night.
Other suggested camps: Chobe Princess Houseboats or Susuwe Island Lodge
Guests arriving with the 1 pm and 2 pm transfers will be served lunch while guests being transferred at 3 pm or 4 pm will join us for a snack before the sunset cruise by tender boat starts.
Late afternoon, once all our guests have boarded, we go in search of some big game by tender boat. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset by getting some iconic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.
Return back to the Zambezi Queen, no doubt with a stunning array of photos waiting to be swapped with fellow guests. After a quick freshen-up, the Captain will await you on the upper deck with a welcome drink, ready for an official welcome and his safety briefing. The cheerful atmosphere continues as you make your way to the dining room where a delightful three-course dinner is served with an excellent choice of paired wines. Retire to the distant night sounds of Africa.
Day 2 on Zambezi Queen
Unlike most lodges expecting guests to rise at the crack of dawn, we have a leisurely start to the day when meeting up for breakfast on the upper deck before the morning activities start.
